Rat Microtubule Associated Protein 4 ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Microtubule Associated Protein 4 (MAP4) in tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate configured as 12 x 8 well strips and employs a biotinylated anti-MAP4 antibody with HRP-avidin detection. The HRP enzymatic reaction is visualised using TMB substrate solution, producing a blue colour that changes to yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution, with absorbance measured at 450 nm.

Quantitative performance specifications include an assay range of 0.312–20 ng/ml and a sensitivity of <0.123 ng/ml, with a total assay time of 4 hours 30 minutes. Spike-and-recovery has been validated across serum (range 80–102%, average 91%, n=5), EDTA plasma (range 81–100%, average 90%, n=5) and heparin plasma (range 80–89%, average 84%, n=5), with linearity-of-dilution data reported for each matrix across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as indicated on the product insert, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
