Rat Membrane Protein, Palmitoylated 2 ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat MPP2/DLG2 (Membrane Protein, Palmitoylated 2) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, or other biological fluids.

The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate and the sandwich immunoassay technique, in which analyte in standards and samples is captured by an antibody specific for MPP2/DLG2 immobilised on the plate. A biotinylated anti-MPP2/DLG2 antibody followed by an HRP-avidin conjugate binds the captured analyte, and TMB substrate is added to visualise the enzymatic reaction. After addition of the acidic stop solution, the absorbance is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader. Total assay time is 4h 30m, with a sensitivity of <0.5 U/L and an assay range of 0.625–40 U/L.

Reported spike-and-recovery performance averages 91% for serum (range 80%–102%, n=5), 90% for EDTA plasma (range 81%–100%, n=5), and 84% for heparin plasma (range 80%–89%, n=5). The kit includes a pre-coated microplate, lyophilised standard, detection solutions A and B, wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution, and plate sealers. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or −20°C as instructed and not used past the expiration date.
