Rat Melanoma Inhibitory Activity Protein 1 ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com, designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Melanoma Inhibitory Activity Protein 1 in serum, plasma or other biological fluids. The assay uses the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique, with an antibody specific for Melanoma Inhibitory Activity Protein 1 pre-coated onto a 96-well microplate. Standards and samples are added to the wells and the target present in each sample is bound by the immobilized antibody. Following incubation and washing, a Biotinylated Anti-Melanoma Inhibitory Activity Protein 1 Antibody is added, followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate. A TMB substrate solution is then used to visualize the HRP enzymatic reaction, producing a blue-coloured product that changes to yellow after addition of acidic stop solution. The density of yellow is proportional to the amount of Melanoma Inhibitory Activity Protein 1 captured in each well, and concentration is calculated by reading the O.D. absorbance at 450nm in a colorimetric microplate reader and referring to the standard curve.

Key specifications include a sensitivity of <0.57 ng/ml, an assay range of 1.56-100 ng/ml, and a total assay time of 4h 30m. The pre-coated microplate platform is supplied as 12 x 8 well strips, and kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, with the requirement not to use the kit past its expiration date.

Recovery has been evaluated in serum (n=5, 80–102%, average 91%), EDTA plasma (n=5, 81–100%, average 90%), and heparin plasma (n=5, 80–89%, average 84%). Dilution linearity at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16 has been assessed across serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma samples.
