Rat Matrix Metalloproteinase 2 ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this Sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Matrix Metalloproteinase 2 (MMP2) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a 96-well microtiter plate pre-coated with an antibody specific for MMP2. Standards and samples are incubated in the wells, followed by a biotinylated anti-MMP2 detection antibody and HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate produces a blue product that turns yellow after stop solution is added; absorbance is read at 450 nm. The standard curve covers 0.312–20 ng/ml, sensitivity is <0.134 ng/ml, and total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes.

Validated spike-and-recovery in serum samples ranged from 80–102% (average 91%, n=5), EDTA plasma 81–100% (average 90%, n=5), and heparin plasma 80–89% (average 84%, n=5). Linearity has been demonstrated at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions, with serum ranging 74–107%, EDTA plasma 79–108% and heparin plasma 82–105% (n=5 each). Components are stored at +4°C or −20°C as indicated, and the kit must not be used past its expiration date.
