Rat Luteinizing Hormone ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this is a competitive Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (cELISA) intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Luteinizing Hormone in serum, plasma or other biological fluids. The assay uses a 96-well microtiter plate pre-coated with Luteinizing Hormone antigen, in which hormone present in samples or standards competes with the immobilised antigen for binding sites on a biotinylated anti-Luteinizing Hormone antibody. After washing, an HRP-avidin conjugate is added and the reaction is visualised with TMB substrate; absorbance is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader, with the resulting yellow intensity inversely proportional to Luteinizing Hormone concentration.

The manufacturer reports a sensitivity of <0.14 ng/ml and an assay range of 0.468-30 ng/ml, with a total assay time of 2h 30m on a pre-coated microplate platform. Recovery across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma (n=5 per matrix) ranges from 80% to 102%, and dilution linearity across 1:2 to 1:16 dilutions ranges from 74% to 108%. Kit components include the pre-coated plate, lyophilised standard, detection solution A, detection solution B, 30X wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and adhesive plate sealers; components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and the kit must not be used past its expiration date.
