Rat Lipin 1 ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Lipin 1 in tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The assay uses an antibody specific for Lipin 1 pre-coated onto a microtiter plate. Standards and samples are added to the wells and Lipin 1 is captured by the immobilized antibody. After washing, a Biotinylated Anti-Lipin 1 Antibody is added, followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate and TMB substrate solution. Colour development is read in a colorimetric microplate reader at 450 nm and the Lipin 1 concentration is calculated against a standard curve.

The quantitative sandwich assay has a product range of 0.312–20 ng/ml, a sensitivity of 0.127 ng/ml, and an assay time of 4h 30m. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed. Provided items include a pre-coated microplate, lyophilized standard, detection solutions A and B, wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution, and plate sealers.

Recovery was assessed in serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma (n=5 each). Serum samples showed a recovery range of 80%–102% (average 91%); EDTA plasma showed 81%–100% (average 90%); and heparin plasma showed 80%–89% (average 84%). Dilution linearity at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16 dilutions returned the following ranges: serum 87–91%, 87–107%, 74–101%, 92–97%; EDTA plasma 90–105%, 84–101%, 90–101%, 79–108%; heparin plasma 84–95%, 92–105%, 82–105%, 89–91%.
