Rat Lipase, Pancreatic ELISA Kit

Antibodies.com supplies this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) kit for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Pancreatic Lipase/PTL in serum, plasma or other biological fluids.

The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, on which an antibody specific for Pancreatic Lipase/PTL is immobilised. Standards and test samples are added and any target present is captured. After washing, a Biotinylated Anti-Pancreatic Lipase/PTL Antibody is added, followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is then used to visualise the enzymatic reaction, producing a blue product that turns yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution. Absorbance is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader and the target concentration is calculated by reference to a standard curve.

Stated performance characteristics include a sensitivity of <37 pg/ml, an assay range of 78.1-5000 pg/ml and a total assay time of 4h 30m. Recovery has been characterised in serum (range 80%-102%, average 91%, n=5), EDTA plasma (range 81%-99%, average 90%, n=5) and heparin plasma (range 80%-89%, average 84%, n=5). Kit components are intended for storage at +4°C or -20°C as instructed.
