Rat Leukemia Inhibitory Factor ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Leukemia Inhibitory Factor (LIF) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips and employs a biotinylated anti-LIF antibody with an HRP-avidin conjugate and TMB substrate, producing a colour change that is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

The standard curve covers a range of 15.6-1000 pg/ml with a sensitivity of 6.7 pg/ml, and the total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes. Reported spike-and-recovery averages from the manufacturer were approximately 91% in serum (n=5), 90% in EDTA plasma (n=5) and 84% in heparin plasma (n=5), with linearity data also provided across 1:2 to 1:16 dilutions for each of those sample types. Kit components include a lyophilised standard, detection solutions A and B, a 30X wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and plate sealers, with components stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed.
