Rat Lectin Like Oxidized Low Density Lipoprotein Receptor 1 ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat LOX-1 (Lectin Like Oxidized Low Density Lipoprotein Receptor 1) in serum, plasma, or other biological fluids, supplied by Antibodies.com. The assay uses the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique, with an antibody specific for LOX-1 pre-coated onto a 96-well microplate. Standards and test samples are added to the wells, and bound LOX-1 is detected using a Biotinylated Anti-LOX-1 Antibody followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate. The reaction is visualised with TMB substrate, and absorbance is read at 450 nm in a microplate reader; concentration is calculated by reference to the standard curve.

The reported assay range is 62.5–4000 pg/ml with a sensitivity of <22.5 pg/ml, and the total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes. Sample recovery was determined in serum (range 80–102%, average 91%, n=5), EDTA plasma (81–100%, average 90%, n=5), and heparin plasma (80–89%, average 84%, n=5). Dilution linearity across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16 dilutions was 87–91%, 87–107%, 74–101%, and 92–97% for serum; 90–105%, 84–101%, 90–101%, and 79–108% for EDTA plasma; and 84–95%, 92–105%, 82–105%, and 89–91% for heparin plasma (all n=5). Kit components should be stored at +4°C or –20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
