Rat Laminin ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Laminin in serum, plasma or other biological fluids. The kit employs the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique, with an antibody specific for Laminin pre-coated onto a 96-well microplate. Standards and test samples are added to the wells; Laminin present in each sample is bound by the immobilized antibody, detected with a Biotinylated Anti-Laminin Antibody and visualised using an HRP-Avidin conjugate and TMB substrate. The reaction produces a blue colour that turns yellow after addition of the stop solution, with the density of yellow proportional to the amount of Laminin captured. The concentration is calculated by reading the O.D. absorbance at 450 nm against a standard curve.

The assay has a reported sensitivity of less than 14.6 pg/ml and a working range of 31.2–2000 pg/ml, with a total assay time of 4 hours 30 minutes on a pre-coated microplate platform of 12 x 8 well strips. Reported recovery is provided for serum (range 80%–102%, average 91%, n=5), EDTA plasma (range 81%–99%, average 90%, n=5) and heparin plasma (range 80%–89%, average 84%, n=5). Dilution linearity data are reported for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions. Kit components include a pre-coated 96-well microplate, lyophilised standard, Detection Solutions A and B, 30X Wash Buffer, Sample Dilution Buffer, TMB Substrate, Stop Solution and plate sealers. Components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
