Rat Lactoferrin ELISA Kit

Antibodies.com supplies a sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Lactoferrin in serum, plasma and other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, with an immobilized antibody specific for Lactoferrin. Standards and samples are added to the wells, followed by a biotinylated anti-Lactoferrin detection antibody and HRP-Avidin conjugate; TMB substrate produces a blue colour that turns yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution, and absorbance is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

Manufacturer performance figures include an assay range of 31.2-2000 pg/ml and a sensitivity of 12.7 pg/ml, with a total assay time of 4 hours 30 minutes. Reported spike-and-recovery values are: Serum (n=5) 80%-102% (average 91%); EDTA Plasma (n=5) 81%-100% (average 90%); Heparin Plasma (n=5) 80%-89% (average 84%). Dilution-linearity ranges at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 are also listed across these sample types.
