Rat Janus Kinase 2 ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA kit from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Janus Kinase 2 (JAK2) in tissue homogenates, cell lysates, or other biological fluids. The assay employs a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips and uses the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique. Standards or samples are added to the wells where JAK2 is captured by an immobilized antibody, followed by incubation with a Biotinylated Anti-JAK2 Antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate. A TMB substrate solution produces a blue colour that turns yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution, with the intensity of yellow proportional to the amount of JAK2 captured. The concentration is calculated by reading the optical density at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader and referring to the standard curve.

The kit reports a sensitivity of <0.055 ng/ml and an assay range of 0.156–10 ng/ml, with a total assay time of 4 hours 30 minutes. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and the kit must not be used past its expiration date.
