Rat Janus Kinase 1 ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this assay is a sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Janus Kinase 1 (JAK1) in tissue homogenates, cell lysates and other biological fluids. The kit uses a pre-coated microplate with an immobilised JAK1-specific antibody, followed by sequential incubation with a Biotinylated Anti-JAK1 Antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate. Detection relies on a colourimetric TMB reaction, with the optical density read at 450 nm in a microplate reader.

Reported performance characteristics include a sensitivity of 0.248 ng/ml and an assay range of 0.625-40 ng/ml. Recovery has been evaluated in serum (range 80-102%, average 91%), EDTA plasma (range 81-100%, average 90%) and heparin plasma (range 80-89%, average 84%), each across n=5 samples. The standard assay procedure has an approximate total run time of 4h 30m. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the product is intended for research use only.
