Rat Islet Amyloid Polypeptide ELISA Kit

A competitive enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (cELISA) from Antibodies.com enables the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Amylin/DAP (Islet Amyloid Polypeptide) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a 96-well microplate pre-coated with Amylin/DAP antigen and a competitive immunoassay format in which sample analyte competes with immobilised antigen for binding to a biotinylated anti-Amylin/DAP antibody.

Detection is achieved with an HRP-avidin conjugate and TMB substrate, with absorbance read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader; signal intensity is inversely proportional to analyte concentration. Reported performance includes a standard curve range of 7.81–500 pg/ml and a sensitivity of <2.19 pg/ml, with a total assay time of approximately 2 h 30 min.
