Rat Iron Responsive Element Binding Protein 2 ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat IREB2/IRP2 (Iron Responsive Element Binding Protein 2) in tissue homogenates or other biological fluids.

The assay uses a sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique on a pre-coated 96-well microplate. Standards and samples are added to wells where the target is captured by an immobilized antibody, followed by incubation with a Biotinylated Anti-IREB2/IRP2 Antibody and HRP-Avidin conjugate. The reaction is visualised using TMB substrate; after addition of acidic stop solution, the yellow colour intensity, proportional to analyte concentration, is measured at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader. Reported sensitivity is 0.108 ng/ml with an assay range of 0.312-20 ng/ml, and total assay time is 4h 30m.

Sample recovery is reported across serum (80%-102%, average 91%), EDTA plasma (81%-100%, average 90%) and heparin plasma (80%-89%, average 84%). The kit includes a pre-coated 96-well microplate, lyophilised standard, Detection Solution A and B, 30X Wash Buffer, Sample Dilution Buffer, TMB Substrate, Stop Solution and plate sealers.
