Rat Interleukin 9 ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Interleukin 9 (IL-9). The kit is reactive with rat samples and is suitable for serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids.

The assay uses a microplate pre-coated with an antibody specific for IL-9. Standards and samples are added to the wells and the IL-9 present in each sample is bound by the immobilised antibody. After washing, a biotinylated anti-IL-9 antibody is added, followed by HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is used to visualise the HRP enzymatic reaction, producing a blue product that changes to yellow after addition of an acidic stop solution. The intensity of yellow is proportional to the amount of IL-9 captured, and the concentration is calculated by reading the O.D. absorbance at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader and referring to a standard curve.

The kit has a product range of 78.1-5000 pg/ml and a sensitivity of 31 pg/ml. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
