Rat Interleukin 6 Receptor ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Antibodies.com designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat IL-6R (Interleukin 6 Receptor) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate in a 12 x 8 well strip format, with a colourmetric read at 450 nm on a microplate reader.

The kit reports a sensitivity of <0.25 ng/ml and an assay range of 0.781–50 ng/ml, with a total assay time of 4h 30m. The protocol uses a biotinylated anti-IL-6R detection antibody followed by an HRP-avidin conjugate; TMB substrate produces a blue product that turns yellow on addition of stop solution, with the yellow intensity proportional to IL-6R concentration and quantified against a standard curve. Recovery has been demonstrated in serum (n=5, range 83%–100%, average 91%), EDTA plasma (n=5, 90%–99%, 94%) and heparin plasma (n=5, 91%–101%, 96%), and linearity has been shown at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 across the same sample types.
