Rat Interleukin 23 ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA kit from Antibodies.com for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Interleukin 23 (IL-23). It is intended for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids from rat samples. The assay is read on a colorimetric microplate reader at 450 nm, with a product range of 15.6–1000 pg/ml and a sensitivity of <5.8 pg/ml.

The kit employs the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique: a pre-coated antibody specific for IL-23 captures the analyte from standards and test samples, followed by incubation with a Biotinylated Anti-IL-23 Antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate. After washing, TMB substrate is added, producing a blue product that turns yellow upon addition of stop solution; absorbance is proportional to IL-23 concentration. Typical assay time is approximately 4 hours 30 minutes. Reported recovery in serum (n=5) averages 91% (range 83–100%), in EDTA plasma (n=5) averages 96% (range 90–103%), and in heparin plasma (n=5) averages 94% (range 90–99%). Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and not used past the expiration date.
