Rat Interleukin 16 ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Antibodies.com is intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Interleukin-16 (IL-16) in serum, plasma, or other biological fluids. The assay uses a microplate pre-coated with antibody specific for IL-16; standards and samples are added, followed by a biotinylated anti-IL-16 detection antibody, an HRP-avidin conjugate and TMB substrate. Absorbance is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader, with the yellow colour intensity proportional to the amount of IL-16 captured in each well.

Reported sensitivity is <6.85 pg/ml and the assay range is 15.6–1000 pg/ml. Total assay time is 4 h 30 min. Manufacturer-supplied recovery data (n=5 per matrix) include 83–100% (average 91%) for serum, 90–103% (average 96%) for EDTA plasma, and 89–102% (average 95%) for heparin plasma. Dilution linearity is reported across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma (n=5 each). Kit components are stored at +4°C or –20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past the stated expiration date.
