Rat Interleukin 13 ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat interleukin-13 (IL-13) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The kit is reactive with rat samples and uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips) with colorimetric detection read at 450 nm in a microplate reader.

Quantitative performance is supported by a working range of 78.1–5000 pg/ml and a sensitivity of <33 pg/ml, with a total assay time of 4 hours 30 minutes. The protocol employs an immobilized capture antibody specific for IL-13, followed by incubation with a biotinylated anti-IL-13 antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate; TMB substrate is then used to visualise the reaction, producing a blue product that turns yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution, with absorbance proportional to IL-13 concentration. Reported spike-and-recovery across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma samples averages 91–96%, and linearity is supported across sample dilutions of 1:2 to 1:16.
