Rat Interferon Regulatory Factor 4 ELISA Kit

Antibodies.com provides this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Interferon Regulatory Factor 4 (IRF4) in tissue homogenates, cell lysates and other biological fluids. The kit employs a 96-well pre-coated microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, using a biotinylated anti-IRF4 detection antibody followed by an HRP-avidin conjugate; the TMB substrate produces a yellow colour whose intensity is read at 450 nm in a microplate reader and compared to a standard curve.

Reported performance includes a sensitivity of 0.133 ng/ml and an assay range of 0.312-20 ng/ml, with the full procedure taking approximately 4h 30m. Validation across serum (n=5), EDTA plasma (n=5) and heparin plasma (n=5) gave mean recoveries of 91%, 90% and 84% respectively, while dilution linearity at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 produced recoveries ranging from 74% to 108% depending on the matrix. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as indicated, and the product is intended for research use only.

Samples should be equilibrated to room temperature before the assay. For cell lysates and tissue homogenates, total protein per well should not exceed 0.3 mg; cell lysates are clarified at 14,000 x g for 5 minutes, and tissue is homogenised in PBS before centrifugation at 5000 x g for 5 minutes.
