Rat Interferon Beta ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this Rat Interferon Beta ELISA Kit is a sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (sELISA) intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat interferon beta in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay employs a pre-coated 96-well microplate, a biotinylated anti-interferon-beta detection antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate, with TMB substrate and an acidic stop solution. Colour intensity is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader and is directly proportional to the interferon beta captured in each well.

Reported performance figures include a standard curve range of 15.6-1000 pg/ml and a sensitivity of 6.1 pg/ml. Spike-and-recovery testing gave averages of 91% in serum (range 80-102%), 90% in EDTA plasma (range 81-100%) and 84% in heparin plasma (range 80-89%). Dilution linearity was demonstrated at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma. Total assay time is approximately 4 hours 30 minutes.

Reactivity is specific for rat interferon beta. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
