Rat Integrin Alpha M ELISA Kit

Antibodies.com offers a sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Integrin Alpha M (CD11b) in tissue homogenates, cell lysates, and other biological fluids. The kit employs the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique, using an antibody specific for CD11b that has been pre-coated onto a 96-well microplate. Standards and test samples are added to the wells, and CD11b present in each sample is bound by the immobilized antibody. Following incubation and washing, a Biotinylated Anti-CD11b Antibody and HRP-Avidin conjugate are added in sequence. A TMB substrate solution is then used to visualise the HRP enzymatic reaction, producing a blue-coloured product that changes to yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution; the density of yellow is proportional to the amount of CD11b captured in each well, and concentration is calculated by reading O.D. absorbance at 450 nm in a microplate reader against the standard curve.

The assay has a reported range of 0.312–20 ng/ml with a sensitivity of <0.115 ng/ml, and a total assay time of 4h 30m. Detection is colourimetric on a pre-coated microplate comprising 12 x 8 well strips. Reported sample recovery figures (n=5) include serum at 80–102% (average 91%), EDTA plasma at 81–100% (average 90%), and heparin plasma at 80–89% (average 84%), with corresponding dilution linearity ranges provided at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16 dilutions for each sample type. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and the product should not be used past its expiration date.
