Rat Insulin Like Growth Factor Binding Protein 3 ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Insulin Like Growth Factor Binding Protein 3 (IGFBP3) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates, and other biological fluids. It is reactive with rat samples and read on a colorimetric microplate reader.

The assay uses a 96-well microplate pre-coated with an antibody specific for IGFBP3. Standards and samples are added, and IGFBP3 binds to the immobilized antibody. After washing, biotinylated anti-IGFBP3 antibody, HRP-avidin conjugate, and TMB substrate are added sequentially. The reaction produces a blue product that turns yellow upon addition of stop solution; absorbance is read at 450 nm, with intensity proportional to IGFBP3 concentration. Assay time is 4h 30m, sensitivity is <7.1 pg/ml, and the product range is 15.6–1000 pg/ml.

Validated recovery values are: serum (n=5, 80–102%, average 91%), EDTA plasma (n=5, 81–101%, average 91%), and heparin plasma (n=5, 80–89%, average 84%). Linearity at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16 dilutions: serum (n=5) 87–91%, 87–107%, 74–101%, 92–97%; EDTA plasma (n=5) 90–105%, 84–101%, 90–101%, 79–108%; heparin plasma (n=5) 84–95%, 92–105%, 82–105%, 89–91%.
