Rat Insulin Like Growth Factor 2 ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Insulin Like Growth Factor 2 (IGF2) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips) carrying an immobilised antibody specific for IGF2, with a biotinylated anti-IGF2 detection antibody, an HRP-Avidin conjugate and TMB substrate; the resulting absorbance is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

Stated performance figures include a product range of 46.8-3000 pg/ml and a sensitivity of <15.65 pg/ml, with an assay time of 4h 30m. Spiked recovery averages are 91% in serum (range 80%-102%, n=5), 90% in EDTA plasma (range 81%-100%, n=5) and 84% in heparin plasma (range 80%-89%, n=5), and dilution linearity data at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 are reported for each sample type.

Components supplied with the kit include the pre-coated microplate, lyophilised standard, detection solution A, detection solution B, 30X wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and plate sealers, with storage at +4°C or -20°C as instructed in the protocol.
