Rat Inhibin Beta A ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Inhibin beta A in serum, plasma or other biological fluids. The Antibodies.com kit employs the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique for the quantitative measurement of rat Inhibin beta A. An antibody specific for Inhibin beta A is pre-coated onto the plate; standards and samples are added and a biotinylated anti-Inhibin beta A antibody followed by an HRP-avidin conjugate are used for detection. TMB substrate produces a blue colour that turns yellow upon addition of the acidic stop solution, and absorbance is read at 450 nm in a microplate reader, with concentration calculated by reference to the standard curve.

Reported sensitivity is less than 4.5 pg/ml and the assay range is 15.6–1000 pg/ml. Detection is colorimetric on a pre-coated microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, and the total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes. Recovery has been evaluated in serum (average 91%, range 83–99%, n=5), EDTA plasma (average 89%, range 80–99%, n=5) and heparin plasma (average 90%, range 82–99%, n=5). Linearity has been demonstrated across dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit must not be used past its expiration date.
