Rat Inhibin A ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Inhibin alpha in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The 96-well microplate is pre-coated with an antibody specific for Inhibin alpha; standards and samples are added to the wells, where the analyte binds to the immobilised capture antibody. After incubation and washing, a Biotinylated Anti-Inhibin alpha Antibody is added, followed by HRP-Avidin conjugate and TMB substrate; the resulting yellow colour intensity is read at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader and the analyte concentration is calculated against a standard curve.

The assay has a quantitative working range of 15.6-1000 pg/ml and a sensitivity of <6.5 pg/ml, with a total assay time of 4 hours 30 minutes. Reported spike-and-recovery testing gave average recoveries of 91% in serum (n=5, range 80%-102%), 90% in EDTA plasma (n=5, range 81%-100%) and 84% in heparin plasma (n=5, range 80%-89%); dilution linearity was assessed at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and the product should not be used past its expiration date.
