Rat IL-21 ELISA Kit

The Antibodies.com Rat IL-21 ELISA Kit is a sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat IL-21 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates, or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated microplate on which an immobilised antibody captures IL-21 from standards and samples. Following incubation and washing, a biotinylated anti-IL-21 antibody binds the captured analyte, and an HRP-avidin conjugate is then added. TMB substrate is used to visualise the enzymatic reaction, producing a coloured product whose intensity is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader; concentration is calculated by reference to a standard curve.

Quantitative performance includes a product range of 15.6-1000 pg/ml and a sensitivity of <5.8 pg/ml, with an assay time of 4h 30m. Recovery was evaluated across n=5 samples per matrix: serum 83-100% (average 91%), EDTA plasma 90-103% (average 96%), and heparin plasma 90-99% (average 94%).

Dilution linearity was assessed at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16: serum (n=5) 90-99%, 82-108%, 82-96%, 92-103%; EDTA plasma (n=5) 84-105%, 88-94%, 89-107%, 72-106%; heparin plasma (n=5) 89-92%, 88-108%, 84-102%, 90-98%. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and the kit must not be used past its expiration date.
