Rat IL-1 beta ELISA Kit

Antibodies.com supplies this sandwich ELISA for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat IL-1 beta in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates and other biological fluids. The pre-coated microplate is read colorimetrically at 450 nm after sequential incubation with a biotinylated detection antibody, HRP-Streptavidin conjugate and TMB substrate, with the resulting colour intensity directly proportional to the IL-1 beta concentration of each sample.

The quantitative assay covers a range of 31.25 - 2000 pg/mL, with reported sensitivities of <18.75 pg/mL and <1.42 pg/mL. Reported recovery averages are 98% for serum (range 95-105%), 93% for EDTA plasma (range 86-101%) and 97% for heparin plasma (range 92-103%) across the tested sample set. The kit is specific for IL-1 beta with no reported cross-reactivity with other analogs or variants. Serum and plasma samples should be diluted at least 1:2 with the supplied Sample Dilution Buffer; validated dilutions include healthy serum at 1:2 and NR8383 cell culture supernatants (1 µg/mL LPS stimulation for 12 hours) used undiluted.

The assay is completed in approximately 4 hours and the kit is shipped at +4°C, with components stored at +4°C or -20°C as directed in the protocol manual. The product has been cited in 2 publications.
