From Antibodies.com, this Rat HADHB ELISA Kit is a sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat HADHB (Hydroxyacyl Coenzyme A Dehydrogenase Beta) in tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The assay uses the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique, with an antibody specific for HADHB pre-coated onto a microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips. Reactivity is specific to rat samples.

Standards and samples are added to the wells, where HADHB is captured by the immobilised antibody. After washing, a Biotinylated Anti-HADHB Antibody binds the captured target, followed by incubation with an HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is then added; catalysis produces a blue product that turns yellow on addition of the acidic stop solution. The intensity of yellow is proportional to the HADHB concentration, which is calculated from absorbance read at 450 nm in a microplate reader against a standard curve. The reported sensitivity is 0.135 ng/ml with a quantitative range of 0.312-20 ng/ml, and the total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes.
