Rat Histamine Receptor H3 ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) from Antibodies.com designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Histamine Receptor H3 (HRH3/H3R) in tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The kit uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips) and follows a colourimetric workflow: standards and samples are added to the wells, captured by an immobilised anti-HRH3/H3R antibody, then detected with a Biotinylated Anti-HRH3/H3R Antibody, HRP-Avidin conjugate and TMB substrate. The reaction produces a yellow product after stop solution is added, whose absorbance is read at 450 nm in a microplate reader and referenced to a standard curve.

Reported sensitivity is <0.124 ng/ml and the assay range is 0.312-20 ng/ml. Total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes. Storage instructions call for kit components to be kept at +4°C or -20°C as indicated, and the kit is not to be used past its expiration date.

Linearity/recovery data provided with the kit: Serum (n=5) average 91%, range 80%-102%; EDTA Plasma (n=5) average 90%, range 81%-100%; Heparin Plasma (n=5) average 84%, range 80%-89%. Sample dilution performance at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 is reported for serum (87-91%, 87-107%, 74-101%, 92-97%), EDTA plasma (90-105%, 84-101%, 90-101%, 79-108%) and heparin plasma (84-95%, 92-105%, 82-105%, 89-91%).
