Rat Hexosaminidase B Beta ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this Rat HEXB ELISA Kit targets Hexosaminidase B Beta and is a sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (sELISA) for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat HEXB in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated microplate formatted as 12 x 8 well strips. Standards and test samples are added to the wells, where HEXB is captured by an immobilised antibody; bound HEXB is then detected using a biotinylated anti-HEXB antibody followed by an HRP-avidin conjugate and a TMB substrate, producing a yellow colour whose density is read at 450 nm in a microplate reader and is proportional to the HEXB concentration. The total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes.

According to the manufacturer's specifications, the kit has a stated sensitivity of 0.59 ng/ml and a working range of 1.56-100 ng/ml. Across the listed sample matrices (n=5 each), reported values spanned 80-102% with an average of 91% for serum, 81-100% with an average of 90% for EDTA plasma, and 80-89% with an average of 84% for heparin plasma. Across dilution factors from 1:2 to 1:16, reported ranges were 87-107% for serum, 84-108% for EDTA plasma and 82-105% for heparin plasma.
