Rat Heparin Binding Epidermal Growth Factor Like Growth Factor ELISA Kit

Manufactured for Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit is intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat HBEGF/DTR (Heparin Binding Epidermal Growth Factor Like Growth Factor) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates or other biological fluids. The assay employs a pre-coated microplate to which standards and samples are added; HBEGF/DTR present in each sample is captured by the immobilised antibody, then detected using a Biotinylated Anti-HBEGF/DTR Antibody, an HRP-Avidin conjugate and a TMB substrate. The enzymatic reaction is stopped with acidic stop solution and absorbance is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

The standard curve covers a product range of 15.6-1000 pg/ml with a sensitivity of <6.2 pg/ml, and the total assay time is 4h 30m. Spike-and-recovery testing in serum (n=5, range 80%-102%, average 91%), EDTA plasma (n=5, range 81%-100%, average 90%) and heparin plasma (n=5, range 80%-89%, average 84%) is reported, alongside dilution linearity across 1:2 to 1:16 for each sample matrix. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
