Rat Hemopexin ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Hemopexin in serum, plasma or other biological fluids. The kit employs an antibody specific for Hemopexin pre-coated onto a microtiter plate. Standards and samples are added to the wells, with captured Hemopexin detected using a Biotinylated Anti-Hemopexin Antibody, HRP-Avidin conjugate and TMB substrate. The resulting colourmetric signal is read at 450 nm and is proportional to the amount of Hemopexin captured in each well.

The assay has a stated product range of 78.1-5000 pg/ml and a sensitivity of <32 pg/ml, with a total assay time of 4h 30m. It is intended for use with a colourmetric microplate reader. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit must not be used past its expiration date.

Spike-and-recovery has been evaluated in serum (n=5, average 91%, range 80-102%), EDTA plasma (n=5, average 90%, range 81-100%) and heparin plasma (n=5, average 84%, range 80-89%). Dilution linearity has been assessed at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions across the same sample types.
