Rat Heat Shock Protein Beta 8 ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Antibodies.com designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat HSP22/HSPB8 (Heat Shock Protein Beta 8) in tissue homogenates, cell lysates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips and follows the sandwich enzyme immunoassay principle, employing a biotinylated detection antibody, an HRP-Avidin conjugate and TMB substrate. The enzymatic reaction is stopped with an acidic stop solution and the resulting yellow colour is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader; absorbance is proportional to HSP22/HSPB8 concentration and is quantified against a standard curve.

The kit reports a sensitivity of <0.085 ng/ml and an assay range of 0.312-20 ng/ml, with a total assay time of 4h 30m. Components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as indicated and the kit should not be used past its expiration date. Reported spike-and-recovery values are: serum (n=5) 83-99% (average 91%), EDTA plasma (n=5) 80-99% (average 89%) and heparin plasma (n=5) 82-99% (average 90%). Dilution linearity at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 is also provided for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma across the same matrices.
