Rat Heat Shock 27kDa Protein 1 ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this Sandwich ELISA Kit targets rat HSP27 (Heat Shock 27kDa Protein 1) for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat HSP27 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates, or other biological fluids. The kit employs the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique, using an antibody specific for HSP27 pre-coated onto a 96-well microplate. Standards and samples are added to the wells, then detected with a Biotinylated Anti-HSP27 Antibody followed by HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate solution produces a blue colour that changes to yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution; absorbance is read at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader.

The assay has a stated sensitivity of <0.26 ng/ml and a measurable product range of 0.781–50 ng/ml. Total assay time is approximately 4 hours 30 minutes. Reported average recovery is 91% for serum (n=5, range 80–102%), 90% for EDTA plasma (n=5, range 81–100%), and 84% for heparin plasma (n=5, range 80–89%). Dilution linearity data are provided for each sample type at dilutions from 1:2 through 1:16.

Included components comprise a pre-coated 96-well microplate, lyophilised standard, Detection Solutions A and B, Wash Buffer concentrate, Sample Dilution Buffer, TMB Substrate, Stop Solution, and adhesive plate sealers. Components are stored between +4°C and -20°C as indicated on the kit instructions. The kit should not be used past its expiration date.
