Rat HDL ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat HDL in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, and other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated microplate (12 x 8 well strips), runs in 4 hours, and is read colorimetrically at 450 nm on a standard microplate reader.

The kit is reported as specific for HDL, with no reported cross-reactivity with other analogs or variants. It reports a working range of 3.125–200 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 1.875 ng/mL. Serum and plasma samples should be diluted at least 1:2 with Sample Dilution Buffer before testing; validated dilutions include healthy serum (1:200,000–1:1,000,000) and healthy plasma (1:200,000–1:1,000,000).

Spike-and-recovery data (n=10, undiluted samples) shows average recovery of 94% for serum, 96% for EDTA plasma, and 93% for heparin plasma, with individual ranges of 88–103%, 87–105%, and 88–104% respectively. Kit components are shipped at +4°C and stored at +4°C or −20°C as instructed; freeze/thaw cycles should be avoided and the kit must not be used past its expiration date.
