Rat Growth Hormone Releasing Hormone ELISA Kit

Manufactured for Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit enables the in vitro quantitative measurement of rat Growth Hormone Releasing Hormone (GHRH) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay is run on a pre-coated 96-well microplate and read colorimetrically by measuring absorbance at 450 nm with a microplate reader.

Standards and samples are added to the wells, where GHRH is captured by an immobilised antibody. After washing, a biotinylated anti-GHRH detection antibody is added, followed by an HRP-avidin conjugate. A TMB substrate produces a colour change proportional to the amount of GHRH bound in each well, and the concentration is calculated by referring to a standard curve. Reported sensitivity is <4.47 pg/ml, the product range is 15.6-1000 pg/ml, and the assay takes approximately 4h 30m. Spiked-sample recovery averages 91% in serum, 90% in EDTA plasma and 84% in heparin plasma.

The kit is shipped at +4°C, with components stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed. Contents include the pre-coated microplate, lyophilised standard, detection reagents, wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and plate sealers.
