Rat Growth Differentiation Factor 5 ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Growth Differentiation Factor 5 (GDF 5) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. An antibody specific for GDF 5 is pre-coated onto a 96-well microplate; the assay uses a biotinylated anti-GDF 5 antibody, an HRP-avidin conjugate and TMB substrate, with absorbance read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

Reported sensitivity is <0.066 ng/ml and the assay range is 0.156–10 ng/ml, with a total assay time of 4h 30m. Recovery values (n=5) were 80–102% for serum (average 91%), 81–100% for EDTA plasma (average 90%) and 80–89% for heparin plasma (average 84%). Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed.
