Rat Growth Differentiation Factor 3 ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA kit from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Growth Differentiation Factor 3 (GDF3) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, together with a biotinylated anti-GDF3 detection antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate. Bound GDF3 is visualised using a TMB substrate solution, with the reaction stopped by an acidic stop solution and the absorbance read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader. The intensity of the resulting colour is proportional to the amount of GDF3 captured in each well.

According to the manufacturer, the kit has a quantitative working range of 62.5-4000 pg/ml and a sensitivity of 29.7 pg/ml, with a total assay time of 4h 30m. Reported average recovery values across serum (n=5), EDTA plasma (n=5) and heparin plasma (n=5) fall between 84% and 91%. Dilution linearity data are provided for 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 sample dilutions across the same three sample types, with recoveries ranging from 74% to 108%.
