Rat Growth Differentiation Factor 15 ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this Rat Growth Differentiation Factor 15 (GDF15) ELISA Kit is a sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat GDF15 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips) and is read on a colorimetric microplate reader at 450 nm.

The kit has a sensitivity of 5.6 pg/ml and an assay range of 15.6-1000 pg/ml. Total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes. In spiked recovery testing, serum samples (n=5) showed a range of 83-100% with an average of 91%; EDTA plasma (n=5) showed 90-103% averaging 96%; and heparin plasma (n=5) showed 89-102% averaging 95%. Dilution linearity across 1:2 to 1:16 dilutions was validated for serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma.

Kit components include a pre-coated 96-well microplate, lyophilized standard, detection solutions A and B, wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution, and plate sealers. Storage instructions call for kit components to be kept at +4°C or -20°C as indicated, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
