Rat Granulin ELISA Kit

The assay is suitable for serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, and uses a pre-coated microplate together with a biotinylated anti-Granulin detection antibody and HRP-avidin. Bound Granulin is visualised with a TMB substrate reaction that is stopped with acidic solution and read colourimetrically at 450 nm. The full protocol is completed in approximately 4 hours 30 minutes.

According to the manufacturer's specifications, the standard curve spans a detection range of 1.25-80 ng/ml with a sensitivity of 0.47 ng/ml. Reported spike-and-recovery averages (n=5) are 91% for serum (range 80-102%), 90% for EDTA plasma (range 81-100%) and 84% for heparin plasma (range 80-89%). Linearity at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 sample dilutions is also described for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma.
