Rat Gonadotropin Releasing Hormone ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA kit from Antibodies.com is intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Gonadotropin Releasing Hormone (GnRH) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates, or other biological fluids. The assay employs an antibody specific for GnRH that is pre-coated onto a 96-well microtiter plate; standards and test samples are added to the wells and any GnRH present is captured by the immobilised antibody. Following incubation and washing, a Biotinylated Anti-GnRH Antibody is added, followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate and TMB substrate. The resulting enzymatic reaction produces a blue product that turns yellow upon addition of the stop solution, with absorbance proportional to GnRH concentration read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

The product range is 78.1-5000 pg/ml with a sensitivity of <29 pg/ml, and the total assay time is 4h 30m. Recovery has been demonstrated in serum (range 80-102%, average 91%), EDTA plasma (range 81-100%, average 90%), and heparin plasma (range 80-89%, average 84%), with dilution linearity at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16 established across the same sample types.
