Rat Glycoprotein 39, Cartilage ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat YKL-40/CHI3L1 (catalogued under the target name Glycoprotein 39, Cartilage) in serum, plasma or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated microplate with an antibody specific for YKL-40/CHI3L1. Standards and samples are added to the wells, followed by a Biotinylated Anti-YKL-40/CHI3L1 Antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate produces a blue-coloured product that turns yellow upon addition of stop solution; absorbance is read at 450 nm using a colorimetric microplate reader.

The quantitative sandwich assay has a stated sensitivity of 1.15 ng/ml and an assay range of 3.12-200 ng/ml, with a total assay time of 4h 30m. Recovery in undiluted samples averaged 91% for serum (range 83%-100%, n=5), 94% for EDTA plasma (range 91%-98%, n=5) and 94% for Heparin plasma (range 90%-99%, n=5). Dilution linearity from 1:2 to 1:16 was 78%-102% / 90%-100% / 80%-104% / 86%-97% for serum, 95%-103% / 81%-109% / 87%-91% / 88%-107% for EDTA plasma and 74%-101% / 92%-97% / 90%-105% / 84%-102% for Heparin plasma (all n=5). Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed.
