Rat Glycoprotein 2, Zymogen Granule Membrane ELISA Kit

Manufactured for Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Glycoprotein 2 (Glycoprotein 2, Zymogen Granule Membrane) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The assay uses the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique, with an antibody specific for Glycoprotein 2 pre-coated onto a 96-well microtiter plate. Standards and samples are added and captured Glycoprotein 2 is detected using a Biotinylated Anti-Glycoprotein 2 Antibody followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate produces a blue product that changes to yellow upon addition of stop solution; absorbance is read at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader and the concentration of Glycoprotein 2 is calculated against a standard curve.

The kit reports an assay range of 0.312–20 ng/ml with a sensitivity of 0.122 ng/ml, and a total assay time of 4 hours 30 minutes. Recovery has been validated in serum (n=5, 80%–102%, average 91%), EDTA plasma (n=5, 81%–100%, average 90%) and heparin plasma (n=5, 80%–89%, average 84%), with linearity assessed across serial 1:2 to 1:16 dilutions for the same sample types (n=5). Components are stored at +4°C or –20°C as instructed and the kit must not be used past its expiration date.
