Rat Glycogen Phosphorylase, Liver ELISA Kit

A sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat glycogen phosphorylase, liver (PYGL) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, or other biological fluids. The procedure employs a pre-coated 96-well microplate and uses a biotinylated anti-PYGL antibody with an HRP-avidin conjugate for detection, producing a colorimetric signal that is read at 450 nm in a microplate reader. The colour intensity is proportional to the amount of PYGL captured in each well, and the concentration is calculated by reference to a standard curve.

Quantitative performance includes an assay range of 1.56–100 ng/ml and a sensitivity of <0.56 ng/ml, with a total assay time of approximately 4 hours 30 minutes. Reported average recovery values are 91% in serum, 90% in EDTA plasma, and 84% in heparin plasma. Kit components are stored at +4°C or –20°C as instructed, and the kit must not be used past its expiration date.
