Description

From Antibodies.com, this Sandwich ELISA kit enables in vitro quantitative determination of rat Glutathione S Transferase Alpha 3 (GSTA3) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay is run on a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips. A biotinylated anti-GSTA3 detection antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate are used, with TMB substrate developed to a yellow product whose absorbance is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

The kit has a stated measuring range of 0.312–20 ng/ml and a sensitivity of <0.079 ng/ml, with a total assay time of approximately 4 hours 30 minutes. Components supplied are a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips, -20°C), lyophilized standard (2 vials, -20°C), Detection Solution A (120 µl, -20°C), Detection Solution B (120 µl, -20°C), 30X Wash Buffer (20 ml, +4°C), Sample Dilution Buffer (45 ml, -20°C), TMB Substrate (9 ml, +4°C), Stop Solution (6 ml, +4°C) and plate sealers. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and the kit must not be used past its expiration date.

Recovery has been characterised across matrices. In undiluted samples (n=5) average recovery was 91% for serum (range 80–102%), 90% for EDTA plasma (range 81–100%) and 84% for heparin plasma (range 80–89%). Linearity was evaluated at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions: serum (n=5) spanned 70–107% to 80–103%, EDTA plasma (n=5) spanned 85–110% to 81–99%, and heparin plasma (n=5) spanned 77–104% to 80–107% across the dilutions.
