Rat Glutathione Peroxidase 3, Plasma ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the quantitative in vitro determination of rat Glutathione Peroxidase 3 (GPX3) in serum, plasma, or other biological fluids. An antibody specific for GPX3 is pre-coated onto a 96-well microtiter plate. Standards and samples are added to the wells, followed by a biotinylated anti-GPX3 detection antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate. After incubation and washing, TMB substrate is added; the enzymatic reaction produces a blue colour that turns yellow upon addition of stop solution, and the absorbance is read at 450 nm using a colorimetric microplate reader.

The assay covers a range of 0.781-50 ng/ml with a sensitivity of <0.31 ng/ml. The total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes. In spiked recovery testing, average recoveries were 91% in serum (range 80%-102%), 90% in EDTA plasma (range 81%-100%), and 84% in heparin plasma (range 80%-89%). Parallelism was assessed across serial dilutions from 1:2 to 1:16, with recoveries ranging from 74% to 108% across serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma samples (n=5).
