Rat Glutamine synthetase ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Glutamine Synthetase in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates and other biological fluids, with cell lysates also validated in one product variant [S1][S2]. A 96-well microplate is pre-coated with an antibody specific for Glutamine Synthetase; standards and samples are added and bound Glutamine Synthetase is detected using a biotinylated anti-Glutamine Synthetase antibody followed by an HRP conjugate, with the enzymatic reaction visualised using TMB substrate and read at 450 nm [S1][S2].

Reported assay times differ between product variants, at 4 hours 30 minutes and 4 hours [S1][S2]. Reported sensitivity is less than 5.8 pg/ml in one variant and less than 9.375 pg/mL in the other [S1][S2]. The standard curve range is given as 15.6–1000 pg/ml in one variant and 15.625–1000 pg/mL in the other [S1][S2]. No cross-reactivity with other analogs or variants has been reported [S2].

Spike-and-recovery performance has been characterised for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma across the two product variants, with reported recovery ranges of 80–102% and 91–101% for serum, 81–100% and 86–104% for EDTA plasma, and 80–89% and 85–104% for heparin plasma [S1][S2]. Serum and plasma samples are recommended to be diluted at least 1:2 in Sample Dilution Buffer prior to testing [S2]. Kit contents include a pre-coated microplate, lyophilised standard, biotinylated detection antibody, wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and plate sealers [S1][S2].
