Rat Glutaminase ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat glutaminase in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates or other biological fluids.

The plate is pre-coated with an antibody specific for glutaminase. Standards and samples are added to the wells, followed by a biotinylated anti-glutaminase antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate. Signal is visualised with TMB substrate, stopped with acidic solution, and read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader. The manufacturer reports a sensitivity below 0.107 ng/ml and an assay range of 0.312–20 ng/ml, with a total assay time of 4h 30m.

Spike-and-recovery testing (n=5) gave average recoveries of 91% in serum, 90% in EDTA plasma, and 84% in heparin plasma. Dilution linearity was evaluated at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16 across the same sample types. Components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
